Tina Louise

Tina Tina Amanda AmandaMaureen performed well in athletics and was a fan of rough, competitive sporting events. Her ability to perform was the perfect match for the passion she had for sport. That was evident when she was awarded every Feis to show and play the Irish had to offer. Maureen was a part of the Abbey Theater by age 14 and continued to pursue her passion for the opera stage and classical theatre. The course of her life was changed, however, after Charles Laughton, after seeing screenings of Maureen was captivated by her gorgeous eyes. Laughton changed her name to Maureen FitzSimons to Maureen FitzSimons, to "Maureen O'Hara" and it was a shorter version of her previous name. This name change occurred before Laughton made her a part in Jamaica Inn. Maureen FitzSimons' subsequent movie (The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939-1939) was scheduled to be shot at RKO Pictures in America under a contract to Laughton. Maureen was able to buy her contract from Laughton after the epic was hugely successful. Maureen Laughton was already featured in two major motion films when she was 19.
